This is facinating! I have been working on a project recording voices for children to use in AAC devices and have been pitching up and slowing down adult voices to make them child friendly. This information about sound has peeked my interest to find out more about how the voice works and how we process language. I am especially interested in how they are working to better understand the code, because it could translate out into better computer sythesized voices for AAC users. Thanks!

This was very helpful for me as i try to negotiate the terrain of disabilities activism. Are there guidelines for public institutions that would like to more accessible? i am composing language for a brochure of public programs and would like to include information letting people know that our spaces are wheelchair accessible and that they can call for a sign interpeter or to make other accomodations. What is the best language to use? Thank you.
